This resource was developed to provide taxonomic information about species, species groups and genera in the scale insect tribe Iceryini. The information provided here is based on the results of Unruh & Gullan's taxonomic revision.
You can access information about species and genera either by using the taxonomic menu, or by using one of the query functions. This site also allows Iceryine workers to upload specimen data. If geocodes are provided, the specimens will appear on the google map embedded in the appropriate species page. In order to take advantage of this function, users must register for an id.
If you have a specimen that you would like to identify, please use the interactive identification keys (coming soon). The keys will also provide information about slide-mounting techniques and useful taxonomic characters.
